Perform by day.
Recover by night.

You go to bed and your mind keeps working. You wake at three and sort out the next day. You sleep seven hours and get up as if it were four. You have long since tried everything the guidebooks suggest.

The reason that is not enough: sleep is not an act of will. It is the output of a nervous system that has learned to stay on standby, often for years, often for good reason. You cannot persuade a nervous system. You can teach it that it is allowed to stand down.

That is exactly what we work on. Not on more discipline, on less alarm.

Wake up and be amazing.

The goal of this work
02 How it works

What working together looks like

No standard programme. But a clear frame, so you know what you are entering into.

01

First call

50 to 60 minutes, free of charge. We find out where you are, what the real challenge is, and where you want to be at the end of our work together. From then on, that goal is our shared benchmark.

02

Making it measurable

Already using Oura, Whoop, Withings or another wearable? Then we happily work with that data. If not, you take home a small mobile sleep lab that attaches to the chest. That gives us a real picture of your everyday life, not just an impression.

03

Understanding

The data points to the topics we discuss. I explain why an intervention is scientifically relevant, so you know not only what to do, but why it works.

04

Implementing

Then we settle the decisive part: what does realistic implementation look like in your life? Nothing that only works in theory. Everything cut to fit your actual days.

05

Your rhythm

You decide the frequency. Weekly, every two weeks, whatever feels right for you. Along the way we learn together which methods and lifestyle adjustments work for you, and move step by step towards your goal.

06

What you get from me

A clear understanding of real life in highly dynamic environments. Robust methods that stay effective under high stress. Evidence based approaches, a clear evaluation, audio recordings to use between sessions, tools you master yourself, and absolute confidentiality.

03 Why I might be the perfect fit for you

I’m your chief performance officer.

I spent 20 years performing in business. Then I understood what actually drives performance.

I built my career at Citi and Crédit Mutuel, in leadership roles where the pressure was real and the expectation to perform was constant. I did perform. Until the system that had always carried me began to break.

Rebuilding through neuroscience and applied psychology taught me what no leadership programme had: how sleep creates sustainable performance under pressure, and how directly it shapes clarity, decisions, and presence.

Today I run my private practice in Frankfurt am Main, I have a prevention course that is financially supported by all German health insurers, and I am host of the podcast all.about.sleep.

At Valdesana I am responsible for sleep and recovery and contribute my expertise to the scientific advisory board. I work as an expert for a globally operating bank in Switzerland, where I pass on my knowledge twice a year. My transformation from business to science has been featured in Stern and Capital magazine.

My approach is evidence based: CBT-I, EMDR, PEP, Acceptance & Commitment Therapy and systemic therapy.

04 Methods

Better sleep for busy professionals.
Evidence based.

Six approaches, proven and innovative methods established in research and practice. Which one is used depends on what actually blocks sleep, we establish that together, not by template.

01

Cognitive behavioural therapy for insomniaCBT-I

Effective when you want to fall asleep more easily or sleep through the night again.

In the guidelines CBT-I is the first-line treatment for insomnia, ahead of medication. We work on what actually holds sleep in place: bed times, sleep pressure, the conditioning of the bed, and the thoughts that get loud at night. The method is structured, verifiable and usually works within a few weeks.
02

EMDREye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing

For distressing experiences that return at night, even when they seem long settled by day.

Some nights are restless because something is unfinished. Sometimes it is old, disruptive beliefs about yourself that take the stage at night. EMDR works with bilateral stimulation and helps the brain finish processing distressing material instead of keeping it on standby. The method is well researched and requires no detailed retelling of what happened, for many that is precisely the relief.
03

PEPProcess and Embodiment focused Psychology

Fast-acting for acute stress, rumination loops and the three-a.m. carousel.

PEP combines body work with cognitive elements and often acts quickly, including as a self-help technique you can apply on your own afterwards. Dr Michael Bohne, who developed the method, was a guest on all.about.sleep and explained exactly this link between resilience and sleep.
04

Acceptance & Commitment TherapyACT

The most effective approach against the struggle to fall asleep, because it ends the struggle.

The harder you try to force sleep, the less it comes. ACT reverses the direction: away from control, towards acceptance and a life that no longer revolves around how the night will go. Dr Guy Meadows of the Sleep School London and Dr Steven C. Hayes, who founded ACT, have both explained on the podcast why this route works where willpower fails.
05

Hypnosis

Clinical hypnosis as direct access to the processes that govern falling asleep.

Nothing spectacular, nothing theatrical: clinical hypnosis is a state of focused relaxation in which patterns become reachable that conscious effort cannot access. Particularly effective for difficulty falling asleep and for physical restlessness that will not resolve by will. On request you receive audio recordings for independent use between sessions.
06

Systemic work

Because insomnia rarely sits with the sleeper alone, but in the system they stand in.

Roles, expectations, loyalties, a team, a family, a responsibility nobody else takes on: the systemic view clarifies what function staying awake serves. Sometimes the decisive insight is not how to sleep better, but what has to change for sleep to become possible at all.

Recovery unlocks your brain’s capacity.

05 Not sure yet?

It does not have to start with one-to-one work.

80 % of Germans are unhappy with their sleep. That is exactly why we built the online course: eight weeks, eight modules, a wealth of input to improve your sleep noticeably. At your own pace, whenever it suits you, and reimbursed by German statutory health insurers up to 100 %.

Usually six to twelve. Some notice a clear change after three sessions, others need longer, particularly when the pattern is many years old. I do not work with packages you have to buy in advance. After every session you decide again.
60 minutes cost € 130, 90 minutes € 195. Service codes from the German fee schedule for Heilpraktiker can be applied here. In practice, private health insurers reimburse around € 120 for a 90-minute session. There is no package commitment and no minimum term, you decide again after every session. And because good sleep should be within everyone’s reach, I also developed a prevention course certified under § 20 SGB V: an excellent first step, financed by German statutory health insurers up to 100 %.
Private health insurers generally cover the interventions of a Heilpraktikerin für Psychotherapie. You are equally welcome to come as a self-payer, and that carries real advantages: you receive psychotherapeutic treatment without any diagnosis being disclosed to third parties, so nothing goes on record. It also gives you more flexibility and considerably more room to shape the duration and number of sessions. If you would rather begin on your own: the certified online course is reimbursed by German statutory health insurers up to 100 %.
Yes. I am flexible and work around your needs. Every method I use is just as effective online, including EMDR and hypnosis. For many it is even the more comfortable setting, because the session takes place in their own environment and no travel time is lost.
No, that is not a barrier. All I need to know is which preparations you take and for how long. From there we look at the next steps together. What remains important: decisions on dosage and discontinuation rest exclusively with your doctor.
This is the more common case among people carrying responsibility, and often the more revealing one. Waking at night with an immediately clear head usually points to a nervous system staying on standby, not to insufficient tiredness. Here we work differently than with difficulty falling asleep, and often faster.
